Erin Cox studied at the prestigious Sir John Cass Department
of Art at London Guildhall University, where she had an excellent education
in the fundamental skills of jewellery and silversmithing. As a result,
Erin's work is extremely well made and she uses many different and complicated
methods to bring colour, depth and texture to her work. Each piece is
hand-made in her workshop in Exeter. She produces unique jewellery in
sterling silver, gold plate, 9ct and 18ct gold. All the work is hallmarked.

Kumihimo is a Japenese form of braid   -making. Cords and ribbons are made by interlacing strands.
The most prominent historical use of the cords were by Samurai as both a functional and decorative way to lace their lamellar armor, and that of their horses' armor. Kumihimo cords are now used as ties on haori jackets and obijimes, which are used for tying on an obi (kimono sash).
Each of these braids are made individually so that your piece of jewellery is truly unique.
They are easily washed in warm soapy water.
